Add the items you want to your basket, head to checkout, and complete payment. For prescription medicines you'll be prompted to complete a quick online consultation first — a pharmacist reviews it before the order is dispensed.

Most UK orders arrive within 1–2 working days of dispatch. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are typically dispatched the same day. See our Shipping Policy for full details.

Free Royal Mail Tracked 24 on orders over £30. Below £30 it's £4.95 Tracked 24 or £2.95 Tracked 48 (typically 2–3 working days).

Yes. Every parcel ships in plain outer packaging — no branding, product names, or medical information visible on the outside. The dispensing label (which lists what's inside) is on the product packaging within.

Not currently. We dispense within England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland only.

Yes — you'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order is dispatched. Royal Mail Tracked 24 shows live progress through to delivery.

If your parcel hasn't arrived 5 working days after dispatch, email support@thehormonist.com with your order number and we'll trace it with Royal Mail or arrange a replacement.

Yes. The Hormonist is a UK-registered pharmacy operating under the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) — the regulatory body for pharmacy in Great Britain. Our Superintendent Pharmacist is Kush Shah (GPhC #2217091). You can verify us on the GPhC register at pharmacyregulation.org.

Every order is reviewed and dispensed by a UK-registered pharmacist before it leaves us. Prescription orders are reviewed individually under our Superintendent Pharmacist's clinical oversight.

Yes. We source supplements directly from authorised distributors (Pure Encapsulations and other practitioner-trusted brands). Medicines are sourced through the regulated UK pharmacy supply chain. Every product carries a batch number and expiry date.

Yes. We handle personal and medical information in line with UK GDPR and pharmacy regulations. We never sell your data and only share it with the providers we need to run the service (courier, payment processor, hosting). See our Privacy Policy.

We take complaints seriously. Email support@thehormonist.com or call 0203 988 0069 and we'll reply within one working day. You also have the right to raise a complaint with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Not necessarily. For most prescription treatments we offer, our own pharmacist-prescribers can issue the prescription after reviewing your online consultation — provided it's clinically appropriate and safe for you.

You'll complete a structured health questionnaire covering relevant medical history, current medications, and what you're hoping to support. Our pharmacy team reviews it within one working day. If a prescription is appropriate we'll issue it; if not, we'll explain why and suggest alternatives.

Yes. There's no charge for the consultation or the pharmacist's review. You only pay for treatments we dispense.

If a treatment isn't appropriate, our pharmacist will tell you why and (where possible) suggest alternatives — for example a different medicine, a supplement, lifestyle advice, or a referral to your GP. You won't be charged for anything we don't dispense.

Yes — log in to your account, view your previous order, and reorder. Our pharmacist will do a quick safety check before re-dispensing (typically same day).

Yes — hormone replacement therapy (menopause support) and testosterone replacement therapy where clinically appropriate. These are reviewed individually by our prescribing pharmacist. Start with a consultation via the contact form.

Only with your consent. In some cases we may recommend you also inform your GP so your record is complete — but we'll always ask first.

Pure Encapsulations is one of the most clinically-trusted supplement brands worldwide. Their formulations follow hypoallergenic standards, every batch is third-party tested for identity, potency and purity, and they avoid unnecessary excipients. It's what practitioners use.

No — supplements are over-the-counter and you can order them directly. If you'd like advice on choosing the right formula for your goals, just send the pharmacy team a quick message and we'll recommend.

Many are. Each product page lists the form (capsule, softgel, liquid, etc.) and any animal-derived ingredients. If in doubt, check the dispensing label or message us.

Sometimes — but always check with a pharmacist first. Some supplements can interact with prescription medicines (e.g. St. John's Wort with antidepressants, magnesium with certain antibiotics). Tell us what you're taking and we'll advise.

Depends on the supplement. Some (like magnesium for sleep) can feel different within days; others (like adaptogens such as ashwagandha) build up over 2–4 weeks of consistent use; foundational supplements like Vitamin D3 take longer. Patience and consistency matter.

No. Each product page lists the recommended daily dose — exceeding it usually doesn't make supplements work better, and for some (like Vitamin D or iron) can cause issues. Always follow the dispensing label.

In a cool, dry place below 25°C. Keep tightly capped, out of direct sunlight, and out of the reach of children. Avoid the bathroom (humidity) and the car.

A short online conversation with one of our registered pharmacists about what you're trying to support — whether that's sleep, energy, hormones, fertility, immunity, or general wellbeing. We'll either recommend an over-the-counter product, a prescription medicine (if appropriate), or advice on lifestyle.

For most users, the questionnaire takes 5–10 minutes to complete. Our pharmacist's review happens within one working day. For complex cases we may follow up with a phone call.

Yes. Consultations are bound by pharmacy confidentiality and UK GDPR. Only you and the reviewing pharmacist see your information.

Your age, gender, current medications, any allergies, relevant medical history, and what you're hoping to support. The more accurate you are, the better the advice — there's no judgement, and you can be candid.

For most cases, an online questionnaire is enough. If your case needs more depth, we'll arrange a phone consultation at no extra charge. Video consultations are not currently offered.

You can checkout as a guest, but creating an account lets you view your order history, reorder repeat prescriptions in a click, and save addresses.

Log in, head to Account → Addresses, and edit or add a new address. If your order is already in dispatch, email support@thehormonist.com immediately and we'll try to update it before it ships.

Click Forgot password on the login page and we'll email you a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within 5 minutes, check your spam folder or contact us.

Email support@thehormonist.com with your order number and the reason. We'll reply with a returns address. For pharmacy-safety reasons we can't accept dispensed medicines back, but we accept unopened sealed supplements within 30 days. See our full Returns Policy.

Once we receive the returned item, we'll process the refund within 5 working days. It can then take 5–10 working days to land in your account depending on your bank.

Yes — your order confirmation is your VAT receipt. If you need a re-send, email support@thehormonist.com with your order number.
